Devilman is one of Dynamic Planning’s most iconic and famous works. Originally written by Go Nagai in 1972, it tells a story of a young man named Akira Fudo who becomes a creature with the body of a demon and the mind of a human. He fights against demons which seek to destroy humanity. The composition shows a face half Akira and half Devilman and is based on the original drawing by Go Nagai.

Being a highly celebrated artist, Nagai is known to be a pioneer of psychological horror (Devilman) and the giant robot genre (Mazinger Z, Getter Robo). His animation works were broadcast in many countries in the 70s and gained international popularity.
